Shooting ranges
We have two outdoor shooting ranges at our club, both approximately 115 yards in length. At the entrance you will find flip signs allowing you to indicate a range is in use. Courteous dictates that the signs be flipped to OPEN when you leave.
The "West Range" is the most used and has the oldest berm. It is also nearest to the parking lot making "tailgating" your equipment possible. The "East Range" has the newest berm and the longest shot (125 yrd) possible. This range is far from the parking lot and due to a buried septic, we ask that NO vehicle are driven on the grass. Tailgating is not permissible on the East Range. |
Both ranges are equipped with movable shooting benches. Most pistol and rifle calibers are permitted (except for .50BMG and other very large rifle calibers, which require prior approval). WE prohibit shooting at aerial targets due to the close proximity of Clinton Lake. Moreover, metal targets, bowling pins, explosive targets, glass, and targets extending above the top of the berms are prohibited. See the Range Rules for details.
The clubhouse
The clubhouse contains a large meeting/dining room, a well equipped kitchen, and a classroom. There are many ongoing upgrades in the works. This November 15-16 there will be a new roof installed over the classroom. By next summer we will have additional restroom facility available to shooters without access to the building.
